Our favorite NFL wife is in the news again and this time it’s not because she threatened an ESPN reporter or got arrested or shit on Ryan Tannehill again (although, it’s related to that), but actually because of these tidbits that came out of a Sports Illustrated article on the Grimeses.
Bascially, the article is about their relationship, Miko as an NFL wife and her wild use of Twitter. One of the best quotes that came out of this is that according to Miko, her 2015 Twitter rants on the Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins was all an elaborate scheme to get Brent cut.
You remember these, right?
All of that was apparently one giant plan. Via SI:
According to Miko, the Dolphins had told Brent he had to take a pay cut; if he declined, they would wait until other teams used up all their cap space and then release him. (A Dolphins spokesman says that these discussions never happened.) At home, Brent said he’d sooner retire. But Miko wasn’t going to let that happen—instead she would get him run out of town by going “as wild as possible on social media.” Her version of what happened next: “[Brent] said, ‘Go for it.’ I got his full permission to be as disrespectful to the Dolphins as I wanted to be. And I threw in [Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill] because I don’t like him or his wife.”
And he signed off on it! That’s 2017, people. Wives intentionally tweeting crazy ass shit so their husband can get cut and avoid taking a pay cut.
Brent then signed a $16 million dollar deal with the Bucs the next offseason>
