Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season delivered in a plethora of ways. From one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the game to an epic Super Bowl rematch that took center stage on Monday night. Playoff implications are at a high, and teams are jockeying for their spot in the postseason. Before we put a bow on the week that was, let’s look back at the biggest moments. Here are five headlines from Week 11.
5. Holy DeVito

Coming off of a playoff appearance last season, the 2023 campaign hasn’t been what the New York Giants were hoping for. With starting quarterback Daniel Jones out with an injury, the team has turned to the ‘Italian Stallion’ Tommy DeVito. On Sunday, DeVito delivered in a big way for the G-Men, as the former Syracuse QB had a career day in the team’s 31-19 victory over NFC East rivals, the Washington Commanders. DeVito’s three-touchdown day had to be enough for his mom to have the ziti ready when he made it home to celebrate.
4. Is It Time For Broncos Country To Ride?
MILE. HIGH. MAGIC. pic.twitter.com/H0xqJ2AHSl
— Denver Broncos (@Broncos) November 20, 2023
Yeah, the jokes have been plentiful involving Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and his unlimited ability to be cringe. However, the Broncos have been anything but cringe lately after winning their fourth straight game of the season over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The victory put the Broncos back at .500 on the season and just two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the top spot in the AFC West. But the road doesn’t get easier for the mile-high club. Denver still has dates with the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions before they close out the season.
3. Fear The Dawg Pound
— Cleveland Browns (@Browns) November 20, 2023
The Cleveland Browns were supposed to be set at quarterback after making a deal to bring Deshaun Watson to town. However, legal issues stemming from sexual harassment accusations and injuries have left the franchise’s guaranteed money man on the sidelines for most of his Cleveland tenure. A season-ending shoulder injury to Watson now has the team looking to rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson to lead the team to the postseason. DTR delivered on Sunday, as the Brownies did just enough to handle the Pittsburgh Steelers in a defensive showdown. It may not be how Browns fans drew it up, but this team still has the chance to create magic.
2. Comeback Cats

— Detroit Lions (@Lions) November 20, 2023
Speaking of magical seasons, what about those Detroit Lions? The Lions have started the season 8-2 for the first time since the 1960s and finally have fans who are proud of their franchise. On Sunday, the Lions played some of the worst football of their season for three and a half quarters. However, football is a game of four quarters. After a three-interception day, Lions QB Jared Goff shook off his poor performance and led his team down the field with two late-game scoring drives. The Lions victory was sealed after edge rushed Aidan Hutchinson got to Bears QB Justin Fields, forcing a fumble that resulted in a safety. It wasn’t pretty, but it’s still a win for the brand-new Lions.
1. Eagles Get Super Bowl Revenge
THE MAIN THING pic.twitter.com/K8ABVUgrWD
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) November 21, 2023
So it may not be as satisfying as a Super Bowl win; however, the Philadelphia Eagles have to be feeling really good after their 21-17 victory on Monday night. The matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs lived up to the hype surrounding the top two teams in the league. The weather may have played a little factor, but there’s no denying the Eagles are currently the better team. Once again, drops played a factor for the Chiefs, an issue that has been with the team since Week 1. As of now, the Eagles are continuing to prove that this could be the magical season they were hoping for.
