UCLA Football Recruits Suspected In Theft Of Colorado Locker Room

UCLA players run out of the tunnel before an NCAA college football game between the UCLA and the Colorado, Oct. 28, 2023, in Pasadena, Calif.

In one of the most bizarre stories of the college football season, members of the Colorado football team alleged that personal belongings were stolen from their lockers during a Week 8 showdown with the UCLA Bruins on October 28.

At least five players had valuables stolen, including diamond and gold chains.

Darius Sanders of Well Off Media which is also run by Deion Sanders Jr. and documented the aftermath of the incident, also said that he had cash stolen from the locker room.

Now, Pasadena Police have pointed their fingers at some suspects.

The suspects reportedly attend Beaumont High School Riverside County and were UCLA recruits who were on an official visit. Their names are being withheld because they are juveniles.

“Search warrants were executed, and additional information will be provided soon as the investigation progresses,” Pasadena Police said in its statement, via On3.com. “The Pasadena Police Department would like to thank those who reported leads to our tip line. The information and support are invaluable and play a crucial role in helping us ensure safety and security in our community.

“Our detectives worked diligently to follow up on all leads, which resulted in the quick execution of search warrants. The investigation will be ongoing. More information will follow as available.”

The thousands of dollars worth of stolen items were reportedly recovered and returned to the Colorado football players.

Both UCLA athletics and the Rose Bowl committee did not comment on why recruits were allowed access to the Colorado locker room without any supervision.

The Bruins look to cap off their 2023 campaign this Saturday against rival USC, while the Buffaloes make the trip to Washington State as they look to snap a four-game losing streak.
