Former NFL defensive back Sergio Brown has been arrested in connection to his mother’s death.
In September, a missing persons report for Brown was filed after his 73-year-old mother was found dead near a creek behind her home. Her death was ruled a homicide due to multiple injuries from assault.
After being reported missing, Brown surfaced in Mexico where he was seen partying.
There were a number of other erratic social media videos posted by Brown that showed him living it up south of the border and going on unhinged rants while an investigation into his mother’s death was taking place.

Brown was deported from Mexico on Tuesday and taken into custody by US law enforcement officers near San Diego, according to CNN.
The 35-year-old Brown will reportedly be transferred from San Diego to the Chicago area where the arrest warrant was obtained.
Brown, who starred at Notre Dame, played in seven seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills.
