Colts Unveil ‘Indiana Nights’ Alternate Unis; Immediately Get Roasted (PHOTOS)

Since the NFL got rid of the single shell rule, teams have been breaking out some alternate helmets and bringing us beautiful throwback looks. From the return Tampa Bay Buccaneers “Creamsicle” uniforms and the Cleveland Browns taking it back to the days of the white helmet and all-white uniforms, there have been some incredible threads being unveiled.

Then, there is the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts took to social media to unveil their “Indiana Nights” alternate uniforms that they will wear at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, October 22 against the Cleveland Browns.

The uniforms feature a black helmet and an all-blue uniform with random white stripes and black accents around the numbers. There is some interesting detailing in the jersey, but it’s hard to shake the image of a knock-off Duke uniform.

Of course, NFL Twitter was not shy about sharing its thoughts on the Colts alternate look and the unis were immediately roasted.

Here are some of the responses:

“Why does this look like a create-a-uniform preset from Madden,” another Twitter user wrote.

Yeah, I don’t think that’s what they were going for.

It will be interesting to see if the Colts make some tweaks to the uniforms for future seasons, or whether they will just embrace the jokes that will be coming their way every time they suit up.

The Colts kick off their 2023-24 regular season campaign on Sunday, September 10, at home against the division rival Jacksonville Jaguars.
