Throughout the allegations, Watson has denied that he ever forced himself on or assaulted anyone.
Watson and the Browns are still awaiting the fate of the quarterback’s 2022 season, with an impending suspension inevitably coming from the NFL. Watson, who hasn’t played since 2020, signed a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract with the Browns amidst the allegations facing Watson. Recent reports indicate the NFL will target a “lengthy” suspension against the quarterback.
As this story continues to unravel, Watson and the Browns seem to be working with the mindset that it’s business as usual.
