Deshaun Watson has settled all but four of the civil lawsuits filed against him, according to attorney Tony Buzbee. Once the paperwork is completed, the lawsuits will be dismissed.

Buzbee announced the news in a lengthy statement on Tuesday, June 21.

Watson was facing 24 civil lawsuits, but now just four remain. One of the four lawsuits that has not been settled is one of the initial accusers, Ashley Solis.

Throughout the allegations, Watson has denied that he ever forced himself on or assaulted anyone.

Watson and the Browns are still awaiting the fate of the quarterback’s 2022 season, with an impending suspension inevitably coming from the NFL. Watson, who hasn’t played since 2020, signed a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract with the Browns amidst the allegations facing Watson. Recent reports indicate the NFL will target a “lengthy” suspension against the quarterback.

As this story continues to unravel, Watson and the Browns seem to be working with the mindset that it’s business as usual.
