Deshaun Watson Continues To Claim He Never Sexually Assaulted Anyone

Deshaun Watson spoke to the media for the first time since late March on Tuesday, discussing the allegations against the quarterback. The newly acquired Cleveland Browns QB continued to announce his innocence by stating what he has said throughout the process.

Watson opened up his press conference with a typical run-of-the-mill happy to be here response that you would hear from any athlete during an opening statement. Watson then opened the press conference for media members to ask questions on the legal allegations around the 26 civil suit allegations against him, a number that seems to continue to grow by the day.

When asked about the allegations of the 26 women involved in the lawsuit, this is what Watson had to say, “I understand that question, and I definitely respect it. … I’ve been honest, and I’ve truthful with my stance, I never forced anyone, I never assaulted anyone.”

Watson and the Browns are still awaiting the fate of the QB’s 2022 season, with an impending suspension inevitably coming from the NFL. Watson, who hasn’t played since 2020, signed a 5-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract with the Browns amidst the allegations facing Watson. As this story continues to unravel, Watson and the Browns seem to be working with the mindset that its business as usual.
