The NFL has a new pizza sponsor, and it came as a bit of a surprise.

After deals with major chains like Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, the league has announced the new official pizza sponsor of the NFL is none other than… Little Caesars.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Little Caesars to the NFL family,” CEO and Executive VP of NFL Partnerships Renie Anderson said in a statement. “With a focus on quality and convenience, Little Caesars offers unmatched value for our fans, and we look forward to working together to positively impact communities across the United States.”

When you think about it, it’s brilliant.

Just think… it’s halftime and you have to go on a beer run. Why not pick up a $5 Hot ‘n Ready to go with it on the way home? It’s quick, easy, and convenient. And that’s all we can ask for when our focus is on the game.

And will there be special deals? How much cheaper can the pizza get?
