If the Cleveland Browns hope to trade Baker Mayfield, they may need to lower their asking price.

According to reports, the Browns are searching for a first-round pick in return for Mayfield’s services after the former starting quarterback requested a trade, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.

Mayfield was ready to move on from Cleveland the moment the team traded for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

In comparison, the San Francisco 49ers are reportedly searching for two first-round picks in exchange for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

After a flurry of moves at the position from teams like the Washington Commanders, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints in the past few days, the number of teams in search for a quarterback is rapidly shrinking.

Teams like the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks could still be in the market for a signal-caller, but a first-round pick for Mayfield seems like too steep of a price.
