Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has no idea why his former Detroit Lions teammate Ndamukong Suh hates him.
On the latest episode of her podcast The Morning After with Kelly Stafford, Kelly discussed the heated exchange between Stafford and Suh that took place during the Rams win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.
Suh claimed Stafford kicked him and got in the quarterback’s face before receiving a penalty for taunting.
“Not really sure why Suh doesn’t like Matthew, but Suh doesn’t like Matthew,” she said. “It doesn’t phase Matthew, but it is what it is.”

She continued, “I asked Matthew last night and he was like, ‘Honestly, I don’t really know what happened. I didn’t really know who tackled me. But I remember getting put to the ground and someone on me and got him off me to try to get to the next play, and then Suh was in my face telling me he was going to f–k me up.'”
In the end, Stafford got the last laugh.
Thanks to a huge completion to Cooper Kupp in the closing moments of the game, the Rams came away with the win and punched their ticket to the NFC Championship Game where they will take on the San Francisco 49ers for the opportunity to play in Super Bowl 56 in their home stadium.
As for Kelly, she’s going to take the high road with Suh.
“I wish Suh the best, I really do. His family is always so kind… But come on dude, y’all were teammates at one point,” she said. “I don’t get it, it disappoints me in a way with Suh. Maybe we’ll figure out, maybe there’s a reason and he’ll let us know, but Matthew doesn’t really seem to care. Just me, of course.”
Stafford and the Rams will take the field against San Francisco on Sunday, January 30 at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
