The Cleveland Browns COVID-19 outbreak continues to get worse.
This week, a whopping 17 players and two coaches have been placed on the COVID/Reserve test as positive tests continue to pop up. 14 of the players have landed on the list in the past 48 hours.
Players who will likely miss Saturday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to positive tests include starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, tight end Austin Hooper, wide receiver Jarvis Landry, and offensive linemen Jedrick Willis, and right guard Wyatt Teller. That is five starters the team could be down.
Cleveland could also be without head coach Kevin Stefanski, who returned a positive test.

Some of the players could return if they are able to get two negative tests within 24 hours, but the team has to prepare for Case Keenum to line up under center. With the team in the middle of a crowded AFC playoff race, it’s an unfortunate situation this late in the season.
For now, the game will go on as scheduled.
