UCLA’s Jay Toia To Be Disciplined After Video Threatening To ‘Slap A B*tch’

UCLA football player Jay Toia will be facing disciplinary action from the program after a video surfaced this week.

The video shows the Bruins defensive lineman in an elevator with a group of people involved in a verbal confrontation. During the confrontation, Toia appeared to be upset by a group of students he thought were from USC when he threatened to “slap a b*tch.”

The former four-star recruit was held back by friends as the argument continued.

“You a f*cking Trojan, n*gga!” Toia yelled. “I’ll slap a b*tch, too! I’ll slap a b*tch!” One woman in the video was attempting to clear the air and insisted none of the students were from USC saying, “We go to Santa Barbara! Nobody’s a Trojan! We go to USCB!”

After the video went viral, UCLA athletic director Martin Jarmond and Bruins football coach Chip Kelly issued a statement on the matter.

“We’re aware of a recent video in which a student-athlete made disparaging remarks. This was inappropriate and not in line with our values and expectations,” the statement read.

“As such, we are taking disciplinary action and working with campus partners to assist with educations for the student.”

Toia, who has three tackles in one appearance this season, lost his NIL deal with Campus Mogul, a college apparel brand.
