Finally, it’s baaaaack! EA Sports announced that it is rebooting its beloved NCAA Football video game.
The game was discontinued in 2014 due to issues regarding the use of NCAA players’ likenesses, but now EA Sports is moving forward with a relaunch.
The surprise announcement came on social media on Tuesday, February 2.
The message was simple.
“For those who never stopped believing … College Football is coming back #EASPORTSCollegeFootball,” the company wrote.

No further details were given at this time.
The announcement comes after a ruling back in October 2019 where the NCAA board of governors voted to allow athletes to profit off of their name and likeness. Those new rules are set to be implemented in early 2021.
We don’t know exactly when the game will be released, but we can’t wait and we know it will be one of the most highly-anticipated EA Sports releases in years.
Now, will we get the return of EA Sports NCAA March Madness as well?
