6,150 announced at Marlins Park tonight, the third straight record-low crowd at the ballpark. #MLB (https://t.co/OTNSGSqhQb + https://t.co/m2N2qVk0lH + https://t.co/5tCqs44pWB + https://t.co/07aVKUp7Uc) pic.twitter.com/W8MJY6wnLB

There’s going to be one common theme that will see this summer during baseball season and its people making fun of the Marlins and their shitty attendance. Lots of things can happen over the course of a six month season, but this will be the one constant. Nobody is showing up to watch that disgrace of a baseball team in Miami.
This story is right up Rovell’s alley. The Marlins have a double-a team in Jacksonville, called the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. A name like that alone is already going to draw a crowd. It’s a phenomenal name and I can’t even imagine the types of promotions they get out of it.
Last night the Shrimp had their home opener, which is always going to draw a crowd, and brought in a nice attendance of almost 7,000. That’s enough to outdraw their own MLB team down in South Beach by about 800 people.
Marlins Double-A affiliate, @JaxShrimp, posted attendance last night of 6,960.
Mets at Marlins was 6,150.

And that was your sad Miami Marlins story for the week. You wonder why Marlins Man opted for free agency.
This looks 1000000x more fun than a Marlins game
