Well, Joe tried to tell y’all on Friday that after Saquon Barkley put on a freak show display for literally every physical test they threw at him, that the Browns might have to seriously consider taking him at #1. A guy who put up 29 reps on the bench, with 4.28 speed and a 41″ vertical will make you do that. It would be the first time a running back went first since the mid-90’s, but that’s the kind of performance he put on this past week.
Now we have Ian Rapoport reporting that the obvious conclusions we drew on Friday have turned out to be true. Cleveland now has Barkley “firmly in the mix” at #1.
After days of evaluation at the #Combine, one thing is clear: Penn St RB Saquon Barkley is firmly in the mix at No. 1 for the #Browns, sources say. Would be the first RB at that spot since Ki-Jana Carter to the #Bengals in 1995.

Yesterday, we found out the Browns were essentially out of the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes, so if they go this route, they’ll be waiting for their QB of the future at #4. Josh Allen definitely looked the best this weekend in shorts. He was throwing bombs all over the place yesterday. Will he fall to #4?
Barkley seems like a lock to be a superstar as long as he stays healthy. Given the Browns hilarious history of shitty draft picks, it would probably be a good idea to make sure you get the guy who’s likely going to be a no-brainer stud first.
