Georgia Football Star Brock Bowers Declares For 2024 NFL Draft

We all knew it would be coming, but now it is official.

On Tuesday, January 2, Georgia star tight end Brock Bowers announced that he will be forgoing his final eligibility to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bowers announced his intentions to go pro in a lengthy statement on social media.

“Dawg Nation, words cannot describe how thankful I am for what these last three years has brought,” Bowers wrote in a statement. “It has been an unbelievable honor and privilege to play for this university. It has given me memories that will last a lifetime.

“Thank you Dawg Nation for the everlasting support you guys have shown me throughout my time here. Easily the best fans in the nation. It has been such an awesome ride.”

Bowers, who is the top-rated tight end in the 2024 draft class, a three-time All-American, and a two-time Mackey Award winner, is projected as a high first-round draft pick.

During his career, Bowers hauled in 175 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns.

The 2024 NFL Draft is set to begin on Thursday, April 25 around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan. The draft will run through Saturday, April 27.
