A couple of weeks ago we posted a story about Draymond Green trolling Doc Rivers with the manufacturing of some “Cool Story, Glenn” gear. Bay Area News Group’s Diamond Leung, who is a Golden State Warriors beat writer, originally reported on that story.
On Thursday, Leung chatted with “Inside the NBA’s” Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith to discuss the upcoming Warriors-Pelicans playoff series. But the real fun came when Chuck found out Leung’s first name is “Diamond”:
Charles Barkley upon hearing my name: "First time I've met somebody named Diamond who wasn’t at a strip joint." I get this quite a bit.

Can you imagine how many NBA players have made that joke? Leung, a former Michigan State beat writer, apparently hears it often:
For the record, various MSU beat writers made the @diamond83 strip-club joke way before Charles Barkley trotted it out. Get some material.

As well as wrestling references to one Diamond Dallas Page via Steph Curry:
@revkeithb @joerexrode Curry uses that on me regularly

Takeaway from this story: If you’re having a kid and don’t want he or she to be subjected to stripper jokes, stray away from “Diamond.” Maybe go Jewel? Gemma?
