The Kansas City Chiefs have two big names on their mind: Chris Jones and L’Jarius Sneed. Chris Jones just got a huge new contract, and L’Jarius Sneed might be traded soon—he’s been talked about with the Indianapolis Colts.

Jones locked in a mega-deal. Sneed? Tagged and trade talks buzzing.

But hey, the Chiefs can’t just focus on these two. They’ve got other spots that need some love. Sure, everyone’s looking at wide receivers, but let’s not forget about keeping Patrick Mahomes safe. That’s job number one, folks.

Enter Jawaan Taylor. Remember Orlando Brown Jr.? He left, and Taylor stepped in. Despite some early jumps, Taylor’s a solid tackle. He’s better off at his original spot, though.

They brought in Taylor to take over for Brown as the left tackle. But Taylor’s a right tackle at heart. If the Chiefs snag a new left tackle, Taylor can switch back to where he’s played 66 times for Jacksonville.

Now, about that left tackle spot. David Bakhtiari’s on the market after leaving the Packers. Sure, the Jets seem keen because of his buddy Aaron Rodgers. But for a real shot at a Super Bowl ring? Kansas City’s the place.

Bakhtiari’s had his share of injuries, which might make him a bit cheaper. That’s where Taylor’s versatility is key. He’s got the chops for both tackle spots, just in case Bakhtiari needs a break.

When he’s on the field, Bakhtiari’s top-notch. We’re talking two All-Pro selections and three trips to the Pro Bowl. That’s not just good; that’s elite.

And just like that, we’ve got a game plan. Protect Mahomes, check the wideouts, and maybe welcome a new tackle. It’s all in a day’s work for the Chiefs’ offseason.
