The Nebraska football team let loose over the weekend and had some fun while entertaining the crowd during the halftime show of the Cornhuskers’ basketball game against Minnesota.

Nebraska players participated in a slam dunk contest during the halftime break and put their insane athleticism on display.

Second-year head coach Matt Rhule was even used as a prop at one point by running back Emmett Johnson.

When it was all said and done, Cornhuskers freshman defensive back Jeremiah Charles was named the winner at the end of the contest, while sophomore tight end Thomas Fidone was the runner-up.

Here are some of the highlights from the show.

While the Cornhuskers went 5-7 last season, there are higher hopes for the program in 2024 — especially with the addition of five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.

And if they can continue to build team chemistry and bond off the court, it will only benefit them when the season starts.

Nebraska kicks off its 2024 campaign on Saturday, August 31, when they host UTEP.
