Video Shows Shocking Moment Tech CEO Plunges To Death At Company Party

Shocking video made the rounds on social media late Saturday night, showing the moment that a crowd at the Vistex anniversary party was left stunned.

At the beginning of the company party, Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah and Vistex President Vishwanath Raju Datla were inside an iron cage that was being lowered onto the stage for a grand entrance to get the party underway.

As the cage lowered, one of the cables snapped, dumping the pair out and leaving Shah and Dalta tumbling out onto the stage 15 feet below.

Shah landed head-first on the stage and was killed. Dalta was left in critical condition, according to the Times of India.

Vistex is a software company that was founded by Shah in 1999. According to the company’s website, “the organization that helps global titans such as Apple, Walmart, 3M, Viacom, Intel, and Bayer improve revenue and margins.”

Shah established the Vistex Institute for Executive Education at Lehigh University’s business school, where he earned his MBA at age 21, with a donation of $5 million.

Our deepest condolences go out to Shah’s family and all of those impacted by the tragedy, and we wish Dalta a full recovery.
