If you’re an NFL rookie, there is one moment that you dread.
Sure, getting acclimated to the NFL is a difficult task, but there’s nothing more frightening than when the annual “Rookie Dinner” comes along.
The entire team goes out to a fancy dinner, and the rookies get stuck with the tab.
This year, the Seahawks chose a luxury steakhouse, El Gaucho, and racked up a whopping $22,203.60 tab with items like seabass, filets, ribeye steaks, New York strip, and lobster tail.
Seahawks veteran linebacker Uchenna Nwosu showed off the tab on social media.

The good news for the Seahawks rookies is that it could have been much worse.
In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Seahawks had 10 draft picks — three more than the standard. So when the $22,203.60 is split 10 ways, it is only around $2,220 per player.
And who knows, maybe their two first-round picks — Devon Witherspoon and Jaxson Smith-Njigba — picked up a larger portion thanks to their higher salaries. The seventh-rounders certainly would appreciate it.
