Deion Sanders is a great motivator and has had success getting his players to rally around him. But, Coach Prime does have some unorthodox tactics.

One of Sanders’ unique approaches is in regard to fighting during practice.

During an appearance on The Colorado Football Coaches Show this week, Sanders revealed that loves when players throw down during practice and that he allows them to fight.

Coach Prime, who said he doesn’t break up the fights, also revealed he “keeps records” of who won.

“We’ve had a great week of practice. We had a couple of fights, which I like,” Sanders said, via on3.com. “It’s a great thing. I always want to know who won because I keep records. I don’t break them up. Some coaches break them up. I don’t.

“Some guys fight hoping for the break up. No, we’re going to let you go. I love it. They’ve been getting after it. It’s almost like a rededication. It’s almost like a refocus. I love where we are. We’ve had great practices this week, offense, defense, as well as special teams.”

It will be interesting to see if the passion that has been pouring out during practices this week continues on Saturday afternoon against No. 23 Arizona.

The Buffaloes are currently on a three-game losing streak and need to find a way to get back on track.

Kickoff between the Buffaloes and Wildcats at Folsom Field is set for 2:00 p.m. ET on the Pac-12 Network.
