ESPN talking head Paul Finebaum has not held back on his thoughts about Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football program amid the ongoing sign-stealing scandal.
The scandal has led to investigations from the Big Ten and NCAA, and the resignation of Wolverines superfan turned Michigan staffer/Michigan Manifesto author Connor Stalions, who is at the center of the entire situation.
In his latest comments about the scandal, Finebaum shared his thoughts on how the sports world will react if Jim Harbaugh’s team goes all the way and wins the national championship.
Finebaum shared his thoughts on ESPN’s Get Up! on Wednesday morning.
“Everything that happens from here on with [Michigan] is going to be tainted,” he said. “If Michigan wins the national championship and Jim Harbaugh is given that trophy, I think the rest of the sports world is going to turn its nose in disgust.”

Well, Michigan fans certainly wouldn’t be upset.
But there will be some asterisks and questions about how the Wolverines were eligible for the College Football Playoff amid such a complicated, continuously growing scandal.
Regardless of the situation, Michigan sits at No. 3 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings and controls its own destiny when it comes to reaching the national semifinals.
That is, of course, unless the Big Ten or NCAA ultimately steps in.
