Week 10 of the college football season has plenty for fans and the media to dissect.

Fans witnessed the end of one of the greatest rivalries in college football, College Football Playoff hopes were dashed, and stock prices rising for a team that doesn’t want to be forgotten down in South Carolina.

Here are the five biggest headlines from Week 10 of the college football season.

5. Rebs’ Cookin’ In Oxford

The Ole Miss Rebels are having a historic season. The Rebels improved to 8-1 on the season after Saturday’s 38-35 shootout victory over Texas A&M. A game that was everything you hoped for when you see two offenses run by Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart had an incredible performance, throwing for 387 yards and two touchdowns. However, the time for celebration is over.

Ole Miss will travel to Athens on Saturday with a chance to take down the unbeatable Georgia Bulldogs.

4. Longhorns Survive

It doesn’t matter how a win happens, as long as it happens. The Texas Longhorns are feeling that after scooting across the finish line on Saturday after their 33-30 overtime victory over Kansas State.

The Longhorns kept their playoff hopes alive with the victory and now own the top spot in the Big 12 rankings. The team knew it would be difficult after losing starting quarterback Quinn Ewers.

However, it now looks like the team may be looking for a lift from prized recruit Arch Manning to keep their lofty postseason goals.

3. The Stock Is Rising In Clemson

It hasn’t been the season that Clemson football fans are accustomed to. Coming into Saturday, the Tigers were sitting at .500, with the possibility of dipping back below that line with Notre Dame coming to town.

But Dabo Swinney wasn’t going to allow his team to drop another one after a heated debate with a fan on his radio show.

The Tigers took down the Fighting Irish 31-23, and Swinney was beyond hyped to see the Tigers back in the win column. It has not been a typical Clemson season.

However, the Tigers can still reach postseason play with one more victory.

2. Huskies Outduel Trojans

The most exciting game of the weekend belonged to the Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans. The game was a typical Pac-12 showdown where the defense was optional. However, the first defensive stop of the game was more than likely going to win the game for their program. Those stops came from the Huskies.

Washington sits just outside of a playoff spot after their 52-42 victory over USC.

If the Huskies run the table, it will almost be guaranteed that Michael Penix Jr. will be accepting the Heisman Trophy.

1. Cowboys Take The Final ‘Bedlam’

The worst part of conference realignment has been the death of longstanding rivalries. The last ‘Bedlam’ for the foreseeable future took place on Saturday, and Oklahoma State earned the forever bragging rights with their 27-24 victory.

Oklahoma had their playoff hopes dashed last weekend when the Sooners dropped a shocker to Kansas. The team still looked hungover from the loss this past Saturday.

While OU holds the overall series record in the rivalry at 91-20-7, everyone will always remember the last one.
