The college football season is in full swing and the FCS delivered some quality games for another action-packed weekend. Ahead of the upcoming week, we get a look at how each team stacks up against the competition.
On Monday, the AFCA Coaches Poll for Week 9 with a major shakeup after Montana State’s loss to Idaho.
Remaining at No. 1 was the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, picking up all 25 first-place votes, while Idaho jumped into the top five after upsetting Montana State (previously ranked No. 2). The Bobcats fell from No. 2 to No. 8 as a result of the loss.
There are four Top 25 matchups this coming Saturday with the biggest being No. 2 Furman traveling to No. 13 Chattanooga in a meeting of the top two teams in the Southern Conference.
In the Missouri Valley Football Conference, No. 1 South Dakota State hosts No. 10 North Dakota State, and No. 11 Southern Illinois takes on No. 12 South Dakota. Finally, No. 3 Montana hosts No. 7 Sacramento State in Big Sky play.
