To be the awkward guy at the social event with nothing to say, it seems the college football season is flying by. Okay, crickets. Moving on, the 2023 college football season is entering Week 3.
Teams and fans are realizing just where their program lies in the rankings among the league.
Aside from playing well, it is imperative for everyone to look good while doing so… so here are five of the best looks of Week 3.
5. SMU

The SMU Mustangs are back in the spotlight. With help from former president George W. Bush, the Mustangs will be joining the Big 12 next season, as the NCAA conference realignment continues to be madness on a daily basis.
The Pony Express will celebrate the big D, and I mean Dallas, with their look this weekend when they take on Prairie View.
The resurrection of the SMU football program has been one of the best things for the sport.
4. WVU

Trust me on this; I have experience. When you take a bunch of hillbillies down to the local honkey tonk and crank ‘Country Roads,’ you are in for one of the best experiences of your life. John Denver knew exactly what he was doing with the creation of a musical staple for the folks in Morgantown.
Now, the WVU football program is bringing a fresh look to the field while honoring a new musician’s take on the American classic.
The program will honor Charles Wesley Godwin this weekend with a look that will bring any mountaineer home.
3. UCF

The UCF football program has given fans many great looks throughout the years. Saturday will be no different. The Knights will not be golden this week, but the black helmet with the script lettering on the helmet is a knockout look.
UCF continues to grow as a Division I program.
Of course, being in a location like Orlando makes things much easier to enjoy.
2. Texas Tech

Texas Tech nearly pulled off a massive upset last weekend when the Oregon Ducks traveled to Lubbock. While it may have not been the outcome Red Raiders fans had hoped for, the team still proved they belong among the best programs of 2023.
This weekend, Tech will welcome Tarleton State to town wearing a look that celebrates the past and present of the program.
From the cleats to the domes, Texas Tech has scored 100 percent in the uniform department this weekend.

Easily one of the greatest traditions in football is ‘The Red Bandana Game’ hosted by Boston College. On September 11, 2001, former Boston College lacrosse player Welles Crowther courageously saved numerous lives when the attack on the World Trade Center took place.
Sadly, Crowther lost his life while being a hero for so many.
Those he saved had yet to learn Crowther’s name and called him the man with the red bandana when recounting their story.
Crowther’s heroic acts on that day are now celebrated yearly during the Boston College football season. The Eagles will wear uniforms incorporating the iconic red bandana look. This year’s edition of the game will welcome a massive challenge when the Florida State Seminoles roll into town.
However, never count out the courage of this program on such a special day.
