The Alabama football program suffered its worst home loss of the Nick Saban era and worst home loss since 2004 in Week 2 against the Texas Longhorns in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama gave up five sacks and rushed for only 3.1 yards per carry in the embarrassing loss which has led to plenty of questions about the current team and whether the Saban dynasty is over.
This week during Saban’s weekly radio show, he went on a hilariously sarcastic rant about the Crimson Tide’s issues when longtime caller “PeeWee” called into the show.
PeeWee simply asked Saban, “How are you, sir?”
And the floodgates opened.
"So I wanted to ask you, 'What the hell is going on?'"

“Well, PeeWee, I’ve been wanting to talk to you all week, man,” Saban began. “I mean, we’ve got to firm up the pocket. We’re setting too soft. We’re getting pushed back in the middle. Everybody thinks we can’t hold up against the blitz, but they’re sacking us with four-man rush, one three-man rush. Only one sack came off a pressure.
“So I wanted to ask you ‘what the hell’s going on.'”
The crowd loved Saban’s rant and completely ate it up.
It’s great to see moments like this where Saban, who is usually stoic and straight to the point, breaks character and has some fun with the fan base. After all, the Crimson Tide faithful could use some uplifting after a disappointing start to the season.
Next up for Saban and the No. 10 Crimson Tide is a trip to Tampa on Saturday afternoon where they will face South Florida at Raymond James Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
