Matthew Stafford will be one of the three NFL quarterbacks featured on the second season of the Netflix hit docuseries Quarterback, produced by Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.
Manning had previously said that the show was struggling to find participants for the second season, with people turning down offers to appear show which features behind-the-scenes access to the participating signal-callers, who are mic’d for every game throughout the season.
“I’d love for someone to call us back and say, ‘I want to do it.’ I had three starting quarterbacks tell me no yesterday, so I’m swallowing my pride,” Manning said.
Well, he now has one participant.
According to Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, the Rams quarterback turned down an offer to appear in the first season. However, after seeing the success of season one, he decided to take the opportunity to join its sophomore venture.

“Are they hanging out? Are they playing golf? Are they in the weight room and watching film and grinding for that next game? Which is the answer, by the way, not to give it away. There is no golf in the season,” Manning told Netflix ahead of the docuseries’ debut.
