Aaron Rodgers flexed his trash-talking chops in the New York Jets’ preseason finale against the New York Giants over the weekend, and we’re now getting a close look at a hilarious interaction thanks to the latest episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks.
On Tuesday night, the latest Hard Knocks episode caught Rodgers’ trash-talking skills in action during a first-quarter incident with Giants defensive end Jihad Ward at MetLife Stadium.
After a bootleg out to the left, Rodgers threw a pass and then backpedaled five steps after the release. Ward continued to pursue Rodgers and shoved him anyway, which resulted in Rodgers returning a shove and the referees stepping in.
“I don’t even know who you are, bro!” Rodgers told Ward. “I never heard of you!”

Rodgers responded a few moments later with a touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson and got in Ward’s face again saying, “Don’t poke the bear, bro!”
When Rodgers returned to the sideline, he explained the interaction with his teammates and everyone had a laugh. And ultimate, the Jets went home laughing with a 32-24 win over the Giants as they now turn their attention to the regular season.
