CJ Gardner-Johnson must not plan on visiting Philadelphia any time soon.

During a Twitch stream on Wednesday night, the former Eagles defensive back ripped into the Philly fan base and people in the city when asked about his least favorite part of being in Philadelphia.

Gardner-Johnson gave a very direct response that did not sit well with the Philadelphia faithful.

“My least favorite thing … is the people,” Gardner-Johnson said. “They’re f*cking obnoxious, I f*cking can’t stand the f*ckers.”

Message received.

Philadelphia fans are well-known for being one of the rowdiest fan bases in sports — and for booing Santa Claus. They get a bad rap because sometimes the passion boils into intolerable behavior, but hey, passion and alcohol haven’t always been known to create the best moments.

But the good news for Gardner-Johnson is that he was able to turn his time with the “obnoxious” Philadelphia people into a big payday.

Last season, Gardner-Johnson started 12 games and recorded 67 tackles, eight passes defended, and six interceptions — which was tied for the most in the NFL.

In the offseason, Gardner-Johnson signed a one-year deal worth $8 million with the Detroit Lions.
