The iconic Jordan sneakers continue to smash records, with the latest pair of Michael Jordan’s game-worn sneakers being auctioned off for a record amount.

Sotheby’s New York — the luxury auction house that handles a number of high-profile sales — sold a pair of game-worn Air Jordan 13s from Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals Game 2 for a whopping $2.2 million. Of course, the 1998 NBA Finals were the final chapter in Jordan’s famous “The Last Dance” season.

The Jordan 13s come in the classic red and black colorway and feature Jordan’s signature on the toe of each sneaker.

They are now the most valuable sneakers ever sold.

Here is another view of the sneakers:

Sotheby’s previously auctioned “The Dynasty Collection,” which features six sneakers that “His Airness” wore in title-clinching games. From the Jordan 6 worn when he won his first championship in 1991 to the Jordan 14s that were worn in the “Last Dance” against the Utah Jazz in 1998, the unique pieces of NBA history were available in a private sale.

While a price has not officially been revealed for the price of The Dynasty Collection, it was previously reported that experts believed it could fetch up to $100 million.

If you’ve got the money and are willing, incredible pieces of history can always be yours.
