The MLB 2023 season is mere few weeks away, and Spring Training is underway. Spring Training is a great time for fans of the league to catch a glimpse of their respective teams and potential future stars in the minor leagues

. On Saturday, a matchup between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets also proved to be a good training lesson for the grounds crew at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, FL.

The rouge sprinkler system put a slight delay in the NL East exhibition matchup.

Both the Marlins and Mets are competing in the Grapefruit League, along with the rest of the NL East in the Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, and Philadelphia Phillies. The Marlins finished fourth in the NL East last season, while the Mets tied the Braves with an overall record of 101-61; Atlanta held the tiebreaker over the Mets and was crowned NL East champions.

It looks like the NL East will once again be one of the toughest divisions in baseball.

Hey, the grounds crew is human too! The Mets won the contest 5-2, in a game that nobody will remember by the end of May, except for the poor Marlins players that were sprayed like Happy Gilmore at the 9th at 9.
