Michael Jordan’s 60th birthday will be on Friday, February 17, but he’s the one who is giving gifts.

In a news release on Wednesday, Jordan announced that he will be celebrating his birthday by making a $10 million donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

It marks the largest individual donation made in the organization’s history.

“For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids,” Jordan said in a press release. “Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration.

“I can’t think of a better birthday gift than seeing others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of having their wish come true.”

Jordan’s relationship with Make-A-Wish dates back to 1989, and he was named Make-A-Wish Chief Wish Ambassador in 2008.

Make-A-Wish named Jordan an ambassador for the “life-changing impacts he has had on wish kids and their families.” Now, there will be even more.
