It’s officially NFL Draft season! With the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama and Pro Days around the corner, ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. is busting out his first mock draft for 2023.

After a year where only one quarterback (Kenny Pickett to the Steelers) was selected in the first round, Kiper has three quarterbacks slated inside of the top five and four in the top 10.

However, the No. 1 overall pick is on the defensive side of the ball, with the Chicago Bears taking Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter in Kiper’s projections.

The first quarterback off of the board is Ohio State’s CJ Stroud to the Houston Texans at No. 2, while the Indianapolis Colts take Alabama’s Bryce Young at No. 4. The other top 10 quarterbacks in Kiper’s mock draft are Kentucky’s Will Levis and Anthony Richardson of Florida.

Who does Kiper have your favorite team drafting in his first 2023 mock draft?
