UPDATE: GoldenEye 007 is available now on the Microsoft Store and is free with Xbox Game Pass. Let the fun begin!

We all love nostalgia, and this week we will be given one of the greatest gifts of all. The classic Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye 007 will be made available for next-gen consoles so we can once again enjoy one of the greatest video games of all time.

The 1997 classic will be coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox on Friday, January 27.

On the Xbox, GoldenEye 007 will be available to download for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users on Xbox Game Pass.

The game will feature “a few modern touches,” according to the release.

The version of GoldenEye 007 set to appear on Xbox Game Pass is the classic game that made waves in 1997, based on the movie that introduced audiences to a thrilling new era of James Bond. It comes packed with objective-based stealth shooter gameplay and, of course, a legendary local multiplayer mode for split-screen showdowns with friends. It also offers a few key additions for a modern audience, including alternative control options, achievements to unlock and native 16:9 resolution up to 4K Ultra HD (where supported).

So dust off your trigger fingers and get ready to relive some of the best moments of your childhood, ’cause GoldenEye is back, baby!
