The Cincinnati Bengals are heading back to the AFC Championship game for the second straight season after defeating the Buffalo Bills 27-10 on Sunday. After their Divisional round victory, Bengals QB Joe Burrow had a little something to say for those who were expecting a Bills-Chiefs matchup next week.
The cancellation of the Bills-Bengals regular season matchup put the league in a tough spot when deciding playoff seeding. The NFL had plans set for a natural site meeting between Buffalo and Kanas City, had the two met in the AFC Conference Championship game next weekend.
Insert Joe Burrow: the spoiler for any lame idea that a natural site game is the best way to handle a seeding situation. The Bengals QB didn’t mince words or hide his thoughts on the neutral site matchup dream being ended by his squad.
Joe Burrow was asked about the NFL's plans for a neutral site AFC Championship game, and the tickets that were pre-purchase.
“Better send them refunds”

“Better send them refunds.”
Mr. Burrow walked into a snowy Buffalo and convincingly defeated the Bills, then afterward let the world know that he hopes their fanbase gets their refunds for a game that will never happen. Can’t say the guy doesn’t care about the fans.
The Bengals will travel to Arrowhead next week in a rematch of last season’s AFC title game. The Chiefs will be looking for revenge, as the Bengals represented the AFC in the Super Bowl last season and have beaten Kansas City in their previous three meetings. Maybe Kansas City fans should wait to purchase their Super Bowl tickets.
