For the 27th straight season, the Dallas Cowboys will miss the NFC Championship after falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday night, 19-12.
The Cowboys had one final shot at a miracle and drew up a play that only a headstart backyard football team could concoct.
Here is the play that lit the fire of a social media bashing fest:
Ezekiel Elliott got absolutely lit up playing center on the Cowboys final play 😳 pic.twitter.com/q7h5tMRRf5

First off, if I’m Zeke Elliot, I’m packing my stuff and heading out on my own. How can you draw up a formation with your running back snapping the ball and then getting blasted into oblivion? We didn’t even get the chance to watch a lateral parade.
The chances of pulling off the miracle were slim. The chances of pulling off the miracle in this formation were less than slim. Even with a timeout after teasing the formation,
Dallas still believed this was the correct way to pull off the impossible. Hats off to them.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to have fun with yet another disappointing Cowboys playoff loss. Here are some of the best reactions to the final blow of the Cowboys’ 2022-23′ season:
Many are laughing at that final Cowboys play but at least they changed gears from normal type failure and I appreciate that

It wasn’t the best night to be a Dallas Cowboys fan but fear not Dallas faithful. There’s always next year.
