Former NFL star Earl Thomas’ home in Texas has been declared a “total loss” after being engulfed in flames on Thursday evening.
According to TMZ Sports, officials believe that Thomas’ home was struck by lightning which sparked a devastating blaze.
No one is believed to have been in the home at the time of the fire, according to Chief Matt Manshack of the Little Cyprus Fire Department.
Photos shared on social media by 12 News show just how intense the flames were.

During his 10-year NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens, Thomas earned a Super Bowl ring, 7 Pro Bowl nods, and 5 All-Pro honors.
