Could the Las Vegas Raiders actually sign Colin Kaepernick? That is the question many are asking after the free-agent quarterback worked out for the team this week.
The 34-year-old quarterback has not played in the NFL since 2016, but Las Vegas decided to give him an opportunity to show what he still has.
And, according to reports, Kaepernick impressed.
Reports have gone so far as to say that Kaepernick could see his dream of making a comeback come true. NFL insider Ian Rapoport even said the “door is open” for a potential signing by the Raiders.

“My understanding is he impressed. It was a nice workout. There was a lot of positivity, some solid arm strength,” Rapoport said on NFL Total Access. “Really all of the things that, if you’re a team like, let’s say the Las Vegas Raiders, looking to work out a free-agent quarterback, you want to see. From what I understand, the door is open for a potential signing of Colin Kaepernick.”
As an added note, Rapoport said Raiders owner Mark Davis has been supportive of Kaepernick in recent years.
Currently, the Raiders have Derek Carr, Nick Mullens, Jarrett Stidham, and Chase Garbers on the roster. Could Kaepernick join the mix heading into training camp? Only time will tell.
