Urban Meyer’s time with the Jacksonville Jaguars is going as well as we would have predicted.

After reports leading up to the season that players were not a fan of the way he was running the team like it was a college program, there are new reports that players and the coaching staff have had enough of his antics.

Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reported some behind-the-scenes details that include wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. walking out and having to be convinced to come back before having a heated argument with Meyer, star rookie Trevor Lawrence questioning Meyer’s decisions on the sideline, and Meyer calling his assistant coaches losers.

Jacksonville is just 2-10 on the season, and Meyer could be in the final stretch of his stint with the team.

In the report, Pelissero says Marvin Jones “became so angry with Meyer’s public and private criticism of the receiver group that he left the facility until other staff members convinced him to come back and had a heated argument with Meyer during practice.”

Meyer also reportedly ordered star running back James Robinson’s benching after an early-game fumble against the Rams by having running backs coach Bernie Parmalee stop Robinson from re-entering the game. Trevor Lawrence asked Meyer why Robinson wasn’t in the game, which is when Robinson re-entered.

Then, the report notes Jaguars players vented to Rams players about the situation.

Several Jaguars players vented their frustration to Rams players after that game, sources say, reiterating a common complaint that Meyer — who had no prior NFL experience — doesn’t treat them like adults. And the staff meeting follows a pattern of tense interactions between Meyer and his assistants dating back to the offseason. After opening the preseason with consecutive losses, for instance, sources say Meyer informed assistants that he was sick of being embarrassed and if the team didn’t start winning immediately, some of them wouldn’t be around for a second year.

Well, now it looks like Urban may be the one who may not be around for a second year, because he continues to rub everyone the wrong way.
