Rob Gronkowski’s gold jacket has probably already been made, as the future first-ballot Hall of Famer has already left his mark on the sport. Gronkowski says he has one more record he would like to hold before hanging it up.

Gronk claims this record would make him the GOAT at the tight end position.

Gronkowski was asked about being on the verge of passing the great Tony Gonzalez’s record for most 100-yard receiving games. Gronkowski had this to say about coming up on the record. “Why wouldn’t I try to break that record? I’m coming for it.”

Gronkowski has solidified his place in the game when it comes to the best tight ends in NFL history. Gronkowski and Gonzalez’s names are usually brought up when the debate of who the best tight end in the history of the NFL is. Being in the company of Tony Gonzalez in the league is high praise for anyone.

The receiving yard record isn’t the only record Gronk is chasing Gonzalez in the record books. Gronk trails Gonzalez by 20 touchdowns in all-time touchdowns, with Gonzalez at 111 and Gronkowski at 91. Gronkowski can still break the touchdown record as well and absolutely solidify himself as the greatest tight end of all time.
