The Odell Beckham Jr. drama in Cleveland appears to be reaching a boiling point.
After the Browns failed to trade the wide receiver before the NFL trade deadline, things were destined to get ugly and here we are. According to reports, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told his players that OBJ is “essentially not on the team right now.”
Beckham was absent from practice on Wednesday after being “excused” by the team.

Following the news, the Akron Beacon Journal added that Beckham’s agents and Browns general manager Andrew Berry are “discussing options” about what the next move will be.
Leading up to the trade deadline, Beckham’s father shared a video of Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield ignoring or missing Beckham when he was wide open on multiple occassions. NBA star LeBron James even called for the Browns to “Free OBJ,” but ultimately the team kept him on the roster. Whether he will remain on the roster for the rest of the season is yet to be seen.
This season, OBJ has hauled in just 17 catches for 232 yards and no touchdowns.
