UCF’s 2021 Space Uniforms Honor 40th Anniversary Of Shuttle Program

The UCF football program has unveiled its Space Uniforms for 2021, and once again Nike has delivered.

This week, the Knights took to social media to unveil the new alternate uniform which honors the 40th anniversary of the space shuttle program.

UCF will wear the uniforms on Friday, October 22 against the Memphis Tigers.

The uniforms feature a unique number set which features tile codes paying tribute to all 135 space shuttle programs, a nameplate based off of the name patches worn on space suits connected to the International Space Station, a helmet bumper in remembrance to those lost on the Challenger and Columbia, and a helmet stripe with the name of over 100 UCF alumni, faculty, and fans who worked on the space shuttle program.

Kickoff between UCF and Memphis on Friday, October 22 at Bright House Networks Stadium, is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
