Week 5 of the NFL is here.
Teams around the league realize where they stand in the hunt for a playoff berth. Some teams even realize that maybe some coaching hires are not looking so good. (Looking at you, Jaguars.) Anyway, here is the Week 5 preview and betting odds.
Rams (-1.5) vs. Seahawks

The Week 5 schedule will kick off Thursday night with an actual great matchup with two teams from the NFC West. The Rams are looking to get back on track after losing to a hot Cardinals team last week. The Seahawks will be looking to gain ground on the Cardinals by beating another division rival in back-to-back weeks.
Jets vs. Falcons (-3)

The NFL has decided to treat the fans from London, England, to a showdown of two teams vying for a top 5 draft pick. The Falcons and Jets have seemed to let already any chance of playoff hopes this season fade away. The winner of this game’s prize will be drafting later than they want to.
Eagles vs. Panthers (-3.5)

Both teams are looking to get back in the win column in Week 5. The Panthers took their first loss of the season last week to a Cowboys team that now owns a victory over both teams in this matchup. After a great opening week by the Eagles, the team has slowly simmered down. The Eagles have dropped their last three. This game should be a closely contested one between two teams looking to prove they belong.
Dolphins vs. Buccaneers (-10.5)

The AFC East got the chance to see life without Tom Brady last season, and many of the teams enjoyed what they saw. Unfortunately for the AFC East this season, Brady and the reigning champs are bringing their show back to the division. The Dolphins could be in store for a long Sunday yet again.
Saints (-1.5) vs. Football Team

The Saints have been the Jekyll and Hyde of the NFL this season. With a dominating performance over the Packers and a bad loss to the Giants last week in overtime, the Saints have yet to find their identity. New Orleans travels to Washington to take on a team that won in exciting fashion last week in Atlanta.
Titans (-4) vs. Jaguars

Shuttershock
One could almost guarantee that the Jacksonville Jaguars can’t wait to take the field on Sunday. With so much surrounding the organization off the field, playing a game seems like the easy part. The only winless team in the AFC will welcome a division rival who is coming off a bad loss to the New York Jets.
Lions vs. Vikings (7.5)

In Detroit, things continue to go from bad to worse as former Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow was added to the injury report this week. The winless Lions will be massive underdogs as they travel to Minnesota. The Vikings have lost a few heartbreakers this and know they can’t afford to lose a game they’re expected to win.
Broncos vs. Steelers (-1.5)

It’s the same song with a different verse for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. A hobbled Big Ben will look to lead the Steelers to another AFC North title. The Broncos are coming off their first loss of the season against the Ravens last week. This matchup could show which team could be a threat in the AFC playoff picture.
Packers (-3) vs. Bengals

A battle against two 3-1 teams, the Green Bay Packers are slight favorites as they travel to Cincinnati to take on Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Since losing their opener, the Packers have looked like their former selves taking three straight victories. The Bengals will be well-rested, having not played since last Thursday night.
Patriots (-9) vs. Texans

The Patriots and Brady love fest is finally over, and the team can move on to Houston. The Texans had been a disaster before the season began with the troubling news of Deshaun Watson and Watsons wanting out of Houston. The Texans have had to hand the reigns of the offense to third-string rookie QB Davis Mills with the injury to Tyrod Taylor. New England expects to roll in this matchup.
Bears vs. Raiders (-5.5)

The Raiders suffered their first loss of the season on Monday night and now are looking ahead to getting back on track against the Bears. Chicago rookie QB Justin Fields earned his first victory last week against the Lions. The rest of the league will be interested in seeing how Fields matches up against a good defense like the Raiders.
Browns vs. Chargers (-1)

Shutterstock
Each week it feels the star of Justin Herbert continues to grow. After another outstanding performance on Monday night, Herbert and the Chargers welcome the Browns to Los Angeles as one-point favorites. Browns QB Baker Mayfield will look to get back on track after a lackluster performance against the Vikings. This will be a matchup of two great teams looking to establish that they are top 10 organizations.
Giants vs. Cowboys (-7)

Shutterstock
The Giants earned their first victory of the season last week and are rewarded by playing a Cowboys offense that has been on fire. The Cowboys look to be the kings of the NFC East this season. While records can sometimes be thrown out the window during a rivalry game, the Cowboys have looked far superior on both sides of the ball this season.
49ers vs. Cardinals (-5.5)

Shutterstock
The Cardinals have looked like the best team in the NFL leading into Week 5 of the season. After a big win last week against the Rams, Arizona will welcome another NFC West rival in the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers could be looking at rookie QB Trey Lance to get his first start with Jimmy Garoppolo suffering an injury last week.
Bills vs. Chiefs (-3)

A rematch of last season’s AFC Championship will take place on Sunday night. Bills Mafia remembers the painful loss that Kansas City handed them last year and wants to return the favor as they head to Arrowhead Stadium this week. Kansas City has yet to find the rhythm of last season, but what better way to start than handing the Bills their second loss of the season.
Colts vs. Ravens (-7)

Shutterstock
Week 5 will finish up on Monday night when the Colts take on the Ravens in a primetime matchup. The Ravens have continued to answer the call after a tough Week 1 overtime loss to the Raiders on Monday night. The Colts are looking to turn around an awful start to have a chance at an up-for-grabs AFC South title.
