If you were paying attention to social media over the weekend, you probably noticed Urban Meyer went viral for all of the wrong reasons.

Meyer became the butt of plenty of jokes on Twitter after a video went viral that showed a young woman grinding on the lap of the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach.

On Monday, Meyer spoke to the media to discuss the Jaguars’ latest loss and he also addressed the viral video.

Meyer, who owns multiple restaurants in Columbus, Ohio thanks to his time at Ohio State, says he was at an event where people were attempting to get him to show off his moves on the dance floor. Meyer says he should have left, and apologized to his team for being a distraction.

“I just apologized to the team and the staff for being a distraction. It was stupid. So, I explained to everybody what happened and owned it. It was stupid. I should not have had myself in that position,” Meyer told the media.

The Jaguars did not comment on the video.

While the video was more hilarious than anything, it was still a bad look for the head coach of a team that is sitting at 0-4.

The Jaguars will look for their first win on Sunday, October 10, when they welcome the Tennessee Titans to EverBank Field. Tennessee will be looking to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the New York Jets.
