John Harbaugh and Vic Fangio have a little beef brewing.
Late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens decided to run the ball instead of kneeling to eclipse 100 yards rushing on the day and extending the team’s streak of consecutive games with at least 100-yards — which is now tied for the most in NFL history at 43 games.
Fangio wasn’t happy with the “bullsh*t” call from Harbaugh and publicly criticized the coach after the Broncos’ loss. Fangio complained that the move disregarded player safety because the game was already over.
On Monday, Harbaugh faced the media and responded to Fangio’s criticism in a hilarious way. Harbaugh threw the player safety argument back into Fangio’s face by taking a jab at Fangio’s decision to throw the ball into the endzone with seconds remaining, despite trailing, 23-7.
Harbaugh’s response was perfect:
John Harbaugh made the point that Ravens got the ball back because Broncos were throwing to the end zone in a 23-7 game.
"Throwing the ball in the end zone with 10 seconds left, I don’t know if that’s there’s a 16-point touchdown that’s going to be possible right there," he said

Brilliant. And Harbaugh has a point.
In the end, this level of pettiness is usually reserved for the comments section on social media, so it is hilarious to see it play out in public between two NFL head coaches. If the two teams cross paths again in the playoffs, it will be interesting to see the shots they take at each other leading up to and after the game.
