The Wake Forest football program will be honoring legendary Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden during this weekend’s game against the Seminoles at Truist Field.
On Friday, the Demon Deacons took to social media to unveil their tribute to Bowden.
In honor of the late head coach, Wake Forest has placed a mural outside of the stadium that features Bowden’s iconic hat and “Bowden” in script letters. It is the same logo that Florida State has been using on its field as a tribute this season.

It’s a class act from the Deacons.
Bowden passed away on August 8, 2021, at 91 years old. His death came about one month after it was announced that he was diagnosed with a terminal medical condition, which was reportedly pancreatic cancer.
Florida State will be looking for its first win of the 2021 season on Saturday, September 18 when they travel to Truist Field for their meeting with undefeated Wake Forest. Kickoff between the two teams is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
