The 2021 college football season is just around the corner and we are now getting a look at how teams are stacked up ahead of the new year. On Tuesday, August 8, the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll released its preseason top 25 to give us an early look at the landscape of the college football world.
As we have become used to seeing, the Alabama Crimson Tide sit atop the rankings with 63 of a possible 65 first-place votes. The Clemson Tigers follow behind at No. 2, while the Oklahoma Sooners picked up the final two first-place nods to land in third.
Rounding out the top five is the Ohio State Buckeyes and Georgia Bulldogs.
