Michael Thomas raised some eyebrows after posting a cryptic tweet on social media.
The New Orleans Saints star wide receiver appeared to take a shot at his team after it was reported that he would be forced to miss some time while continuing to recover from offseason ankle surgery.
Thomas’ comments came after a report over the weekend that claimed the receiver was ignoring calls from the Saints and the team’s medical staff during the offseason.
“They tried to damage your reputation. You saved theirs by not telling your side of the story,” Thomas wrote.

Since the start of training camp, head coach Sean Payton also shared his disappointment with Thomas missing time.
“It’s disappointing,” Payton said, via the New York Post. “And we’ll work through it with the other players that are here. But the surgery took place, and obviously we would’ve liked that to happen earlier than later. And quite honestly, it should’ve.”
There is currently no word on when Thomas will return to the team.
During his last full season with the Saints, Thomas recoded 1,725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Last year, his season was cut short due to injuries and suspension.
