Steffan Johnson, a Michigan State football signee, has been charged with the extortion of an underage girl.
According to a report from the New York Post, the 18-year-old incoming defensive back threatened to release a video of the girl performing a sex act after she turned him down.
Johnson was arrested on charges of extortion and transmission of a sexual performance by a child.

Johnson is accused of threatening to post the footage on social media in an attempt to “injure the reputation” of the girl, whose father contacted cops Wednesday, according to the newspaper.
The girl was 15 years old at the time and Johnson was 17, a police report states.
“Michigan State Athletics is aware of the matter and monitoring the situation,” a Michigan State team spokesman said in a statement.
Johnson was a three-star recruit from Venice High School in Florida.
